2. Principles

This website is a static information site. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, embeds no third-party content and only uses your device's system fonts; no fonts are downloaded. There are no user accounts.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit it, the host processes technically necessary data, in particular IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer and browser and operating system information. This processing serves the secure and stable delivery of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Netlify processes this data on our behalf. The basis is Netlify's Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of its terms of service (Art. 28 GDPR). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU standard contractual clauses agreed therein.

4. Links to LinkedIn

We link to our profiles on LinkedIn. These are plain links; no data is transferred to LinkedIn when you visit our website. LinkedIn's privacy policy only applies once you click such a link.

5. Contact form

If you use the contact form, we process the details you enter (name, company, email address, phone number, project type, timeframe and message) to handle your request. Name, email address and message are required. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

The form is processed by the form service of our host Netlify. Netlify stores the submission and forwards it by email to David Malczewski and Florian Hocher. Netlify checks submissions automatically for spam. We delete submissions at Netlify once the request has been handled, at the latest after six months, unless a contractual relationship with statutory retention obligations arises.

6. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle the request and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Please contact us at the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
